The SP Series Clean Agent Fire Extinguishing System utilizes FK-5-1-12/HFC-227ea as the extinguishing medium. FK-5-1-12/HFC-227ea is a colorless, non-toxic gas perfectly suited to protect high value assets in areas that may be normally occupied, in locations where clean-up of other agents is problematic, when storage space for a fire suppression agent is restricted, or when an electrically non-conductive agent is required. Each system consists of the following components and their associated accessories:
The storage components consist of the cylinder assembly(ies), which contain the clean agent—either FK-5-1-12 or HFC-227ea—and the cylinder bracket(s), which securely hold the cylinder assemblies in place.
The distribution components include the discharge nozzles, which release the clean agent evenly into the protected area, and the piping network that connects the nozzles to the cylinder assemblies.
The same distribution system design principles apply for both FK-5-1-12 and HFC-227ea systems.
The trim components complete the installation and operation of the system. They include connection fittings, pressure gauges, low-pressure supervisory switches, electric valve actuators, and manual valve actuators.
These components are designed for compatibility with both FK-5-1-12 and HFC-227ea storage assemblies.
The slave arrangement components consist of pneumatic valve actuators, actuation check valves, bleed valves, pilot hoses, and the necessary fittings required for multi-cylinder (slave) configurations.
This arrangement ensures simultaneous and reliable agent discharge across all cylinders, regardless of the extinguishing agent used.
The supplemental components include the discharge pressure switch and manifold check valve, which enhance the core equipment or complete specific multi-cylinder system configurations.
They are fully compatible with both FK-5-1-12 and HFC-227ea systems.
The control panel monitors and controls all system operations, including electric actuators, detection devices, warning devices, cylinder pressure monitoring, as well as manual release and abort stations.
All electrical and electronic devices are connected to the control panel to ensure coordinated detection, control, and discharge for either FK-5-1-12 or HFC-227ea systems.
